Things to do when you are buying a home
- Don’t move your money around; keep it in one place, preferably in a liquid bank account
- Don’t incur new debt or make large purchases
- Don’t go on vacation or out of the country where you can’t be reached to sign loan documents or easily access items you may need to gather and submit for your loan approval
- Don’t let anyone, except your lender, pull your credit report as too many credit inquiries can lower your credit score
- Don’t throw away your paycheck stubs or bank statements
- Don’t change employment if possible
