Things not to do when you are buying a home

  • Don’t move your money around; keep it in one place, preferably in a liquid bank account
  • Don’t incur new debt or make large purchases
  • Don’t go on vacation or out of the country where you can’t be reached to sign loan documents or easily access items you may need to gather and submit for your loan approval
  • Don’t let anyone, except your lender, pull your credit report as too many credit inquiries can lower your credit score
  • Don’t throw away your paycheck stubs or bank statements
  • Don’t change employment if possible

As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions on your path to buying a home.

Have a great day!
